H.264 compression makes video files tiny

Airship uses the most advanced video compression encoding available today. It's the same compression used in the popular iPod and iTunes Store, and in both HD-DVD and BluRay DVDs. H.264 is a major improvement over MPEG2 and MPEG4 standards in both video quality and reduced storage and network bandwidth requirements.

Hardware compression Dedicated hardware frees up the system to work for you

Airship H.264 hardware works hard behind the scenes performing the video compression work — So the rest of the system is available to service remote user requests for live view and playback streaming. Dedicated hardware makes it look easy.

Seagate Drives: optimized for DVRs

Airship systems come equipped with hard drive arrays optimized for DVR recording. In some configurations, this includes RAID 5 for fault tolerance and performance. In other configurations, Seagate SV35 Series hard drives are used. These hard drives are specifically optimized for the unique needs of DVR storage applications.

Multi-protocol PTZ support

The Airship DVR has built in PTZ support that is compatible with most industry standard PTZ protocols. Running patterns, presets, and tours is a snap with our easy to use interface and highly customizable setup tool. See a complete list of supported protocols.

Remote Server configuration

Once the initial installation is complete, you can configure all Server options from a remote Client. You can use this feature to remotely configure your customer's Server for them, and it's as easy for your customers as it is for you.

Camera Settings are Easy

Airship SD and HD Series use a Video Profiles system to help you create the camera resolution and recording settings you use most often, and quickly apply those settings to any camera — IP or analog. Each system comes with a set of default Profiles, and you can make your own, too.

Automated Scheduling

The robust scheduling feature gives you Alarm-based or constant recording for any portion of each day of the week. Draw a few color-coded bars on the schedule and you are ready to go. You can even apply different camera and recording settings to different times of the day or days of the week, and you can apply different settings for Alarm recordings.
